Merav Eliyahu

Clinical Psychologist

Mornington

I’m Merav Eliyahu, a Clinical Psychologist and ISTDP therapist based in Mornington. I have extensive training and experience in psychodynamic therapy, both overseas and in Australia. Alongside my Clinical Psychology studies and professional endorsement, I have completed three years of advanced training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), an evidence-based approach designed to address the emotional roots of psychological distress.

My work focuses on supporting adults who are navigating the effects of trauma, complex trauma, emotional overwhelm, depression, anxiety and medically unexplained physical symptoms. Through my training and experience, I have developed a clear understanding of how the human psyche operates. This allows me to thoughtfully conceptualise the roots of emotional distress and identify pathways toward healing. My clinical practice reflects this depth of understanding, bringing insight, precision, and compassion to every session.

My therapeutic style is active, attuned, and deeply respectful. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel supported to do the courageous work of emotional healing. I bring genuine passion and commitment to each session, with a strong belief in my clients’ capacity for meaningful change. Every therapy process is carefully tailored to the individual’s unique needs and goals.

I offer sessions both in-person (Mornington) and online, working exclusively with adults aged 25 and over.
